What to Expect in a 1:1 Consultation?
Your first consultation is a fact-finding mission, where I will gather as much information about you and what you are experiencing (e.g. symptoms, health conditions) so that I can design a health and wellbeing management plan focused on easing your symptoms and addressing the root cause of your discomfort.
We may spend an hour or more discussing your current health concerns, relevant medical & family history, dietary assessment, lifestyle influences, any medications you are currently taking and pathology interpretation. Often, even in this short time, I am able to recommend some dietary changes, lab tests, lifestyle medicine or supplementation to kickstart your healing journey.
After your consultation, I take my time to further assess your case, conduct a thorough holistic assessment of your current state wellbeing, and then create a completely personalised treatment plan – tailored to you and your lifestyle – that we agree on together. This will be discussed at your follow-up consultation. Further consultations will involve developing and adjusting your wellbeing management plan, to suit you, your lifestyle and your budget.
Naturopathy is a traditional system of holistic medicine that considers the whole person – physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually – rather than simply offering a remedy for a symptom. Naturopathic medicine addresses the underlying drivers of ill health as well as the symptoms, to design an individualised treatment plan, ensuring you get the results you deserve. I use gentle & proven effective modalities, such as nutrition, herbal remedies, EFT (see below) & lifestyle medicine, for lasting health. I work in partnership with you, and if required, your medical doctor/s or other health practitioners, to form a team all working towards a common goal.
What is Tapping?
Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a powerful stress relief technique. Tapping is based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.
Studies have shown that Tapping reduces cortisol (often referred to as the stress hormone) in your body, and stress is linked to anxiety, hormone imbalances, weight gain, sleep problems, lack of motivation, chronic pain, stomach issues, and depression. Tapping is proven to reduce stress, lower cortisol, improve sleep, reduce anxiety, relieve pain, increase productivity, and so much more!
Tapping is called Emotional Freedom Technique because it can be used to explore, acknowledge, express, transform and release difficult emotions, which is why I love to use it in my consultations with PMDD warriors.
